Programming Guidelines

To determine independent projects, Performing Lines WA considers the potential benefits and opportunities of the project against the following criteria;

Context: the audience to which a production may be directed, both nationally and internationally
Touring Potential: the geographic areas it could tour
Audience Development: the particular form of the work and the opportunity to encourage a wider appreciation of innovative developments
Longevity: the ways presentation can extend the life and recognition of the work
Impact: the potential of the production to contribute to the development of Australian theatre practice
Standard: the anticipated level of excellence and professionalism of the production
Benefit: the direct benefit to the audiences and venues through staging particular forms or styles of work.
Capacity: the extent to which their vision is likely to be achievable within our combined resources.
