Investigating dance form and its potential for communication. Sue Peacock
Sue Peacock's work mines the interior landscapes of our human existence. What it is to be vulnerable, compassionate, to relate to others, to be alone, to recognise, to compete, to argue, to love etc. Her ability to do this using both humour and pathos invites a personal response from both performers and audience.

Sue's practice is defined by a commitment to movement and form, set against a curiosity as to how that may be re- shaped by various dramatic or interruptive elements. The influences of light and image are a constant source of investigation, and the result of a long-time collaboration with designer Andrew Lake. Sue's process is collaborative, the creative research influenced by the participating artists. Her choreographic output ranges from pure movement works to those which include text, image, dancing and not dancing.

What did 2009 hold for Sue Peacock?
Sue Peacock premiered Questions Without Notice at the Playhouse Theatre in February 2009. Questions Without Notice was the first work produced by Performing Lines WA under the MAPS initiative and won the 2009 WA Dance award for Outstanding Achievement in Choreography. Sue is currently developing a new solo work, Sprung in collaboration with Andrew Lake.
